Default Thoughts Please

Dear All,

I have been considering over the last day or so and am very nearly about to buy a 2 year old V70 2.4 SE D5 Auto ! 40k miles ex lease hire to one bank mananager. The car is like brand new inside and out. I've still to road test it though. It has been overservices (every 9K miles intared of 18? I know but I've phoned the garages and all check out) by volvo independant service centres and is up to date with regards to service actions (nothing outstanding).

Is there anything in particular that I should look out for or anything I should be checking?
Your experience and advise would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Ken

Apart from all the usual things there should be nothing to be concerned about. Obviously the mileage is high for a two year old car and the price should reflect this. If you do average or below and keep the car for several years this will "correct" the mileage. You say that it has been over serviced but was this done at a main stealer or volvo indie or at A N garage using genuine/ pattern spares and consumables in descending order of preference. Seems odd that a lease company has payed for over service as I have found them to be tight to say the least when service time comes round. I'm sure you will be more than happy with it should you take the plunge.
Keep us posted,

Tim
