B230 531 big valve cylinder head
Howdy all,
If anyone is looking to build a big-power 8v redblock (300+bhp), this might be just the ticket. Above 300bhp, you'll need to start looking at the cylinder head. This one has been rebuilt around 2000 miles ago. At the same time, it had larger valves fitted all-round, and was extensively ported. I can confirm the details (valve sizes, extent of the work done at the rebuild, etc) on demand - I don't have them immediately to hand. The plan was to put this on a B230 bottom end with a Holset turbo on the side, and make 400-450bhp...but something came up. It's still not 100% certain...but it is looking quite likely that this head will have to go. Let's start the bidding at £500 (i.e. that's the asking price...before anyone says "it's not an auction" ). It originally cost best part of double that to have it built. cheers James
