Default Empty fuel tank warning

Is anybody aware if a warning is comming up on the info system when the tank is almost empty. I have never seen such a warning in my XC60 (my V50 has a warning light).
I don't wanna push it to the limit just to see if a warning is actually comming up

on my C70 the Fuel light comes on when there is 45 Miles left in the tank On my S80 the handbook says the fuel light comes on when there is 50 Miles left in the tank AND a Warning comes on in the Driver Info Panel when there is 1 Gallon left in the tank.

Must Admit I have never "Pushed it" THAT LOW though

Keith

My low fuel alarm sounds with approx 15 litres left. In other words, find gas soon

The warning appears when the trip computer calculations indicate that you have 60 mls of fuel left in the tank at your current consumption. It is a yellow fuel pump sign

I have driven a few times to about 30 km (20 miles) and even then I don't get a message. Is it a setting one have to set yourself into the sensus system?

I would speak to the dealer, I don't have sensus and have never set anything on mine - it comes up all to frequently for me - but that is because I am a Scotsman and always looking for cheaper fuel

My C70 warning light comes on at 60 miles. 3 weeks back i let the gauge go down to 20miles left. When i filled up i got 55 litres in the tank. Spec says that the car has a 62 litre tank so still 7 litres left in the tank nearly 2 gallon

Mine is a Sensus and behaves the same.

You should also be aware that when if you display miles remaining, when you have < 20 miles left I think it is it displays dashes. I reached that point and filled up shortly after and put in 67 litres IIRC so not a car that allows any margin.

Living in Surrey a bit of a basic error then! That's why we rushed north of the border when we retired. Unleaded £1.33, diesel £1.37 (and falling). Miss the weather, though

It was £1.55 when I was back in God's Country a few weeks ago - but that was up the top bit (£1.37 in my local Total down here - on the 'old' A3)
