Default How much for a brake servo for S60 ?

Hello All,

Should the price for a new S60 servo unit ( genuine part from Volvo) be around £390 - that's the price I've been quoted for the part from my local mechanic - also 3.5 hours labour which takes the bill up to £700 incl vat.

I know for sure the servo needs replaced - I've had it looked at by two other garages, but just wanted to know if this is a reasonable price or am I being fleeced ?

Cheers

Pat

Sounds reasonable for a new one, for a second-hand one its approx 80 odd quid upwards - but this is brakes, do you want to risk a secondhand part that might fail soon after?

Thanks for the reply.

I've used the same mechanic for years and I've never had any cause to complain - just thought the "new" price seemed high compared to all the various second hand prices I could find.

Thanks again
