Default Esso Supreme diesel

Noticed today that my local Esso filling station in Henley has a new (to me anyway) diesel fuel - Esso Supreme Diesel- . Price was a bit OTT, though at 1.479 a litre, compared with the normal diesel at 1.399 . I stuck to the ordinary stuff today.

Anyone tried this, or got any comments?

I habitually put BP Ultimate Diesel in the D5, which seems to love it, (smooth and quiet), but I then go back to ordinary diesel for 2-3 tank-fills with a dash of Millers Diesel Power eco-max, then back to Ultimate. Have typically been paying about 5p a litre extra for BP Ultimate in Reading.

I've never tried the 'high performance' 'Branded' diesels but do find that my normal Esso diesel is definitely better than Supermarket (Morrissons or Tesco) fuels. Far less 'foaming' on filling up and although I've never done a true back to back test, in general I get an extra 20-30 miles per tank on std Esso than the Supermarket brands.
