No 1800S engine has a C cam.

Chances are a used cam will be worn, 9 out of 10 are.

Makes no difference, the D cam was only found in injection engines.

Hi - totally agree with the worn cam advice. I have just rebuilt my spare engine. I was amazed at the the state of the CAM. This was a 90K engine.
Given the engine ran well before the rebuild - the cam lifters were only touching on the peaks of the CAM.

I am hoping for a transformation when I get it loaded back in.

Oh ok. Will the engine code tell me if it's an injection engine? as I have an engine with an injection head but with the holes blocked off. Is there a "D" stamped on the end of the cam? Can you tell an 8 bolt engine by the engine code?

Does anyone know the above? Also I have just bought a new old stock hazard switch/relay set up but it does not have a wiring diagram. Has anyone got one to hand or can tell me how to wire it in?
Thanks
James.

I was having a bit of an issue getting the car started so I thought I would check the fuel pump out.
It looked like some one had used it for making coffee. I don't think the car had ever been used with a fuel filter so thats possibly 40 years of muck. What is strange is that since I have had the car I have had a filter fitted so I can't work out why it got blocked all of a sudden.
