S40 (New) General : - Volvo S40 Strange Deadlock Noise??

Hi, just wondering if anybody has experienced the same problem, when i double lock the car, after about 20seconds you can usually here a sort of clicking noise which i think is the deadlock? Well instead of the click noise its making a loud screaching type noise? Thanks

Mine does this too. To be honest, it doesn't bother me.

The same with mine. as long it locks it and unlocks it dont bother. its beeing doing it nearly for all year, since i bought it.

May be the fuel filler door as this locks a few seconds after the car locks.

So, the owners that are having it done by volvo under warantee on 08 plate car?? Extended warantee on owned since new or not?
Someone said they oiled the mechanism? What exactly did you oil and how?
