Intermittent Cooling Fan issue.
Hi all,
Since I had to replace my pressure sensor on the intercooler I've been getting high coolant temps on my commutet to work. Not high enough to bring up a warning but my Torque Pro app has been showing the coolant as getting into the high 90's. When I've opened the bonnet the radiater fans havent been turning. I've cleaned the connections on the plug from the loom a few times now thinking that it may have goten dirty when I had the car apart for a few days and each time the fans have started to work afterwards. Great problem fixed I think, however it seems as if the fans works on start up but at some point in the journey switch off. I did a code read on the Torque Pro app and it's come up with P1474 FORD Low Fan Control Primary Circuit . Not had a chance to see what VIDA comes up with yet. So far I'm thinking that the control unit fitted on the radiater is at fault and I'm hoping it can be replaced by itself, without have to buy a complete new fan section. Has anybody had this fault before? |
