That's quite fair price imo. Well, since you're "down" there you should thoroughly clean the EGR, all the pipes connected to it and the throttle body. You can also get OEM volvo throttle body metal gasket. It's like 6€ or something like that.

oh wow like brand new.

Did you also clean the EGR cooler as I see you took apart the valve? If so, may I ask you the procedure (it doesn't have to be in detail)? You just take out the whole EGR assembly and screw the cooler apart from the valve with (how many?) bolts? How did you manage to clean the cooler? Did you have to make some throttle body and EGR calibration in VIDA?


What did you use to clean those parts? It looks like you put that in some ultrasound cleaner?

I was on vacation, payed a mech to do it. All cleaned by hand, not US. It's a messy job and pretty complicated. He did it for 150€ (all that and changing alternator clutch,glowplugs and few more stuff for that price)

This is answer from your Volvo guy in Maribor:



I should go to him, but them Corona f*cked up Slovenia

It's 230€ to clean everything.
