Volvo v70 xc cross country transfer box
I have just bought a mk1 v70 xc. It is the last 2000 year before the shape change.
I have what sounds like a dry bearing noise and vibration through the gear stick. When I put the auto box in neutral the noise goes away. I am pretty sure it’s not the gearbox but either the prop bearing or the transfer box. I took the prop off but the bearing feels good. No play and the outer rubber that holds it in place is also good. I presume the transfer box is where the front prop shaft goes into! I wanted to check the oil but can’t see anywhere where the drain is or indeed where to re fill. Can someone enlighten me please Thanks.

Oil filler Plug on Transfer box.
This a link to eBay and a transfer box. I have a whining noise which varies depending on speed. Still to identify the source but possibly wheel bearing, propshaft or transfer box hence my interest in buying a replacement. The fifth or sixth photo shows the filler plug.
