Broken Down
My V50 started running lumpy in traffic lost power and I'm now waiting recovery. Its the 5 cylinder volvo engined diesel only had her 10 days. No warning lights or messages. New cambelt and water pump when I bought her. Any guesses. The roadside assist was not impressive.

Do you still have dash lights or did everything go off? Does it turn over?

If it were electrical you'd get warning lights. Usually a sign it's something mechanical and a part the sensors won't pick up on. Maybe turbo or actuator, throttle body, or something in the engine that didn't trigger the array of sensors... Knock, cps ect ect... Possibly even something simple like a vac hose or split or popped off intake pipe. Failed fan or thermostat and overheating but you'd imagine you'd get a warning then....
Didn't put petrol in it? Sounds silly. Fuel pump.... Could be anything... More details needed |
