s40 2008. alarm fault.
hi. problem with alarm. went to unlock car with key fob. fob not unlocking . changed battery in fob. still not working. unable to unlock car so used key on drivers door. opened door alarm went off. alarm turned off by using ignition key and starting engine. issue is now that unable to lock or unlock car with key fob. The alarm led on top of dash board is no longer flashing. Alarm system not activating. Not sure what to do next . Do I look at the siren module for fault or is their a problem with some other item.

s40 alarm
only message on dash display was alarm activated after alarm first went off. Main battery on car was fine as car started with no problem.

Might also be worth just taking the car battery off for 10 mins or so, this forces a reset on most car systems so may clear something odd.
