Floppy paddle steering wheel

Hi,just bought my 1st volvo, a s60 r design lux auto 2017 model,after 30years of owning various Vauxhalls,it doesn't have flappy paddles on the steering wheel, is it possible to have them fitted and working.

I've heard from several people the dealership can just swap over the wheel, it's only a £150 option so I can't imagine it costing that much.

Just priced it up for my XC60, unfortunately it's a new steering wheel as that can't just retro fit the paddles so expect a price tag in the region of £650

It's a salutary lesson in selecting the options before you order. Some are impossible or very expensive to retro-fit.

To be fair, if I had picked up a pre-reg one which would inevitably not have them fitted, I'd pay that. It's definitely worth having, particularly with the gearboxes preference to hold onto high gears and the ability to shift manually without using sports mode.

...or for a quick overtake without having to use kickdown.

If I'd of speed my car from new then I would of added paddleshift but a deal came about to buy an 8 month old XC60 at a great price with virtually the spec I would have ordered except for paddle shift and a sunroof.
Small price to pay for a new wheel!!

So it just needs a steering wheel with the paddles,I take it the wiring is already in place and software,does anyone know the part number of the steering wheel and does it still have the r design writing on it thanks Noel

Yep everything is in place it just needs the wheel to activate the system.
The wheel looked exactly the same except for the additions of the paddles, however I don't know the part number

Be aware that some steering wheel swaps can be restricted, depending on existing spec. of car.
