Volvo 340 1.7 3 door For Sale

Hello all,

I have a lovely little 340 for sale here. There's no Mot at present (expired march 10) but it's an easy project car for someone (I was very tempted to do it and then keep it for myself) but I have too many other things on.

It's very solid almost everywhere - the only rust damage I can find is on the o/s area of the front valance (as shown in pics) a common area on these. The underfloor/chassis are very good, so are the inner wings.

Minus points

We can't find the registration docs for it..but this can be applied for free of charge by the new owner from the DVLA

Rust on front valance (pics)

Rear o/s brake binding slightly

Slight body markings/damage here and there - nothing substantial (see pics)

Needs small exhaust pipe fix - depending on forthcoming offers, this may be fixed before sale..

Plus points

2 brand new tyres fitted on car

Tidy interior

5 speed gearbox

1.7 engine that was fully serviced before being laid up - new plugs/oil as clean as a whistle..and only 82,000miles!

Starts and runs - needs minimum amount of work to be roadworthy again

Still looks presentable and is going cheap..!!

So..I really don't want to have to drive it to the scrappies - but it needs to go in approx 2 wks from now. The price is the very nearest offer to 180 pounds. (New tyres cost 75.00) You can't go wrong..

yeah the thing is im coming from sidcup which is south london in a 2.5 pick up and without viewing the car before hand, so ive gotta try to keep costs down. zetor160 has it got tax and how much, and could you meet any closer or not. keep informed and were work something out

Hi Milner,

I appreciate your interest in my (friend's) car. Do bear in mind that :

1.The car is not tested
2.Not taxed
3.Will need a reg.document applying for as the present owner is unable to find the original.

It is however, easily fixable for the road again the worst part of it being the rust on the front valance o/s. Other than that, the car has been well cared for throughout its life and I believe..has only ever had two owners.

Two brand new tyres on rear..fully serviced incl.timing belt before it was laid up..engine oil and plugs are brand new..

For your information: I will be away on holidays from tomorrow until the 1st August. Pick up can be arranged after this date.
