dump valve kit!

Is it necessary to fit the blanking plate on the recirculating valve.

How difficult is it to fit the blankin plate on the car. It seems like a dawnting task. Can anyone recommend ways of carrying this procedure out?

The blanking plate is nessecery, otherwise you have both recirc and dump valve operating off the vacuum feed and neither will work properly.

Its fiddly, you have to take the induction pipes out of the way, but it is possible.

Hi Phil,

thanks for the advise. Are the induction pipe easy to remove? I took of the turbo pipe and the airbox, but it was still fidely.

The bolts on the recirc, are they 7 or 8 millimetre bolts?

I must get the correct tools for the job.

Also one more question do you have to go under th car to get to the bottom bolt. If so I will have to buy a ramp.

I went to volvo yesterday and they said, they said they might have to remove the turbo to get the plate off. I am now confused and in dispare.

I really do need some sound advise.

Honest Advice - take the car to Power Engineering or another tuning company and get them to do it. This is not a job for a volvo dealer - they are not used to having to think sideways.

It is a fiddly job, but can be done from the top by removing the large majority of the pipework on the back of the engine. I think the heatshield had to come off too.
