RE: dump valve
Finny,
If you've got a dump valve you'd know cos it is big and sits on the induction pipe coming out of the intercooler, just by the throttle body. Your car has a re-circulating valve as standard, which does essentially the same job, but as the name suggests recirculates the boost pressure back into the intake, rather than dumping to the atmosphere. Performance differences are really quite negligeble at the kinda boost even modded T5Rs run.... Dump just sounds ruder!! Check out <www.t5r.org> for more details. Welcome to the volvo owners club! Gimme a shout if you would like to attend some of our meetings. Regards, Phil :-)
