Default 1998 940 Celebration Estate, Manual, 1 Owner 91K

Hello
I have decided to sell my much-loved Celebration estate car. I bought the car new from Lex Volvo, Bristol and it was delivered/registered on January 2nd 1998. The colour is Olive Pearl (dark green metallic) and has the charcoal half leather / regent plush interior. The car has under 91K miles and this is genuine, substantiated with every bill and MOT from new. Lex serviced the car for the first three years - when it was out of warranty, I serviced the car myself as this was the only way I knew it was being done to the correct standard. Don't worry, I am not an amateur bodger. I have only ever used genuine Volvo oil filters and the car has been run on Magnatec semi-synthetic oil from new. It has always been carefully and correctly serviced. The car goes to Elite Volvo in Bristol every year for MOT - Elite also put a new exhaust on the car (July '06). A new battery was fitted in 2007 to replace the original. I fitted new pads and discs up front in July 2008 prior to MOT, and the rear pads were done in 2006. Cam belt and tensioner was done on schedule and is due again - I will replace the cam belt prior to sale and refresh the MOT so that it has a full twelve months on it. The car is taxed until October 2009. Brake fluid has been changed regularly, as has the coolant.

I have all the manuals, sales brochures and all receipts from new.

The car is in very good condition. There is a minor scrape on the rear nearside wheel arch, hardly visible. There are some small scratches on the car consistent with the age. The interior is in good condition too with only some minor marking to the dash top and fascia caused by someone resting a length of pipe on it.

Air conditioning is in full working order as are the electric windows, mirrors etc. The car runs as strongly as it did when new. It has never been used for towing and has never been involved in an accident.

I no longer need to carry children and luggage around and will be replacing the car with something very different (Audi TT).
The car is in North Bristol, 5 minutes from M5/M4/M32 intersection.

I'd like £1595 for the car and for that I will put a new MOT on, service the car and fit the new cambelt. Car will be ready for collection early March.

Hello Hooting Owl. I am trying to obtain literature for my Celebration just purchased (see my wants listing message). Would you be willing to copy what you have and send tit to me? If so, please name your price. My email is derek@dwvivian.idps.co.uk and I would be so grateful to you.

Good luck with the sale.
