Satnav upgrade to digital, bluetooth etc

Hi there,

I am about to buy a 2009 XC90, which has the pop-up sat nav screen.

Is it possible to retrofit a new unit which has Bluetooth, Digital Radio and ideally Android Auto?

I've seen some solutions which replace the radio, with a screen that sticks out, but not found anything that replaces the sat nav unit.

I have seen a few posting on here from people who have fitted Garmin bluetooth sat nav's into a volvo cradle, as yours already has the cradle fitted I am sure it would be an easy job to whip out your volvo sat nav and fit a Garmin unit, I read the 1490T model range fits perfectly in the cradle and you should still be able to use the toggle switch behind the steering wheel to raise and turn the Garmin on and off when it lowers if you wire it up correctly, I have seen a video on youtube of a retro fitted cradle and garmin but that required a seperate switch to raise the cradle.
