This 245L has got the 4 manual box.
Today I found a 4 manual box + overdrive and shaft.
Anybody can help me here and let me know if it is going to be a straight swap?
If not, what else do I need?

swap clutchhousing en ensure you have the right gearstick and shorter prop. Best to find the complete shaft.

The OD have a speedo drive I guess? The speedocable can be used from the 4-speed box but best would be to find the slightly longer version.

Possible you need to make the simple wiring with a relais if not present with the box to engage the OD

Thanks Skidje!
I have the complete shaft but the gearstick ( I ll source one somewhere...)
Didn’t think of the Speedocable. Seems hard to find.
And I have to wire the OD to the fuse Box.
Good to know it’s a straight swap. You saved me a lot of time...

But realize that your OD box most probably has a 22 splined shaft for the clutch-plate. Unless you managed finding the earlier models from mid seventies which are the same as the M45/4-speed you have there. So plan for a matching clutch set.

FYI. The OD is only allowed to be engaged when the stick is in 4rth. So ensure finding the suitable relais with input from this signal. Make sure there is no risk engaging the OD when reversing. This will shorten the lifetime fo the OD.

Don't worry about the speedo cable. If you undo the fixating clips on the chassis of the 245 above the gearbox you will manage guiding the short cable from the 4-speed into the M46/4-speed + OD.

I see mate. Not sure about the shaft I have got. Need to double check.
I will replace the clutch so I’ll go for a matching clutch set.
I need to find The electric scheme To connect the OD without frying the electric circuit of the car
Great to know about the speedo cable, thanks again. 245 expert are hard to find these days...
