Default Xc90 door armrest broke

Hi all,
My armrest on my door panel broke.
I took the panel out easy enough, notice it is supported by small thin plastic, very insufficient to support weight of an arm.

Is there anyone can think of any idea how to fix it?
Replacing the panel cost 3000 aud from my local volvo dealership, and being in australia and right hand drive, very hard to find a replacement on the internet. (LHD and RHD are different)

Thank you

If you still have the broken bits try a good quality super glue or pack it up with dense foam packing, you could do both glue it and put packing in for extra support.

Weight of an arm should be fine- but weight of your whole body if you lean on it- which is what I suspect has happened- and your elbow will go through it.. Can’t say I’ve seen another one like this though.. Can you not get it covered under warranty?
