Default Alloy wheels from S40 2006

Hi everybody.
Faced an issue: would the alloy wheels from S40 2006 R16 fit my v70'00?
Or should I sell those and look for other ones?

Thank you in advance.

Determine exactly which wheels from an S40 2006 R16 you have and determine from the link below whether that is a listed wheel for the V70 of the model year you have. It looks to me like the S40 wheels have a different offset than the V70 wheels, so I would say that that S40 wheels cannot be used in a V70. This is based on one example, the S40 7 x 17" Stylla wheels

Hello again.
The new ones I've got have the dimensions: 6,5Jx16x52,5
They are 7 stripes Aluminum rim Caligo 6.5 x 16"

Aluminum rim Caligo 6.5 x 16".

And on the car I have these:

Aluminum rim Metis 7 x 16" - S80, S60, V70, XC70

Aluminum rim Metis 7 x 16".

Any ideas?

Why wouldn't you stick with the Metis? They are listed for the V70 and the Caligo 6.5 x 16" are not. The specs do not give the lug bolt pattern. Possibly the S40 has the same bolt circle diameter but you'd have to check this. There are some different circles which are close enough to cram the wheels on but wich damage the wheels, the car and are unsafe.

Are the Metis wheels damaged?

According to one site the wheel mountings on the 2006 S40 and the 2000 V70 require the same wheel specs except for the center bore and the 'stud size'. Both are listed as having 5 bolts on a 108 mm circle (5 x 108 mm bolt circle)

The S40 wheel is listed as having a slightly larger center bore: 67.1 mm for the S40 vs 65.1 mm for the V70. If this is correct, then I think you would need a 1 mm spacer ring to make the S40 wheel fit tight to the hub center bore of the V70.

The V70 takes 14 x 1.5 bolts and the S40 takes 12 x 1.5 bolts. If this is even correct, I don't know what the implications are for fitting S40 wheels to a V70. If the S40 wheel was the same thickness at the bolt holes then the V70 bolts you have would work.

Bottom line for me is that there are unresolved questions about the fitment of S40 wheels to a V70.

Hello everybody, thank you for the interest and support.
Metis wheels are just fine, I am just trying to have a set for winter tyres: we do have a severe winter season here in Lithuania.
Looks like I just have to make an experiment.
