Could you please let me know which of these tools would be best suited for a 2003 Volvo V70 D5?

or

Also, would the following wheel suffice?

You can not easily do the pulley swap with the alternator mouted because of an ac line that runs right near the pulley. I struggled on before deciding to remove the alternator which is the best way in my opinion. The torx on the alrernator shaft is t50. I used the 33 splined tool on my impact gun to remove the pulley. The alternator is easy to remove you just have to feel for the bolts. Torque for the new pulley is 80nm but it self tightens any how.

The pulley and the tool arrived during the week, so I replaced the pulley today. I now have a squeak free car with very little aux drive belt vibration.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out via this forum, most appreciated.

Thanks for coming back. It helps no end closing off these open loops.

Hi all.

Think I may have the same problem. '54 plate facelift. Noticed a strange noise while idling when in drivers seat. Nothing from any of the components, but belt is 'waggling'. Stops as soon as revs are brought up even a tiny amount.

I may as well buy a new belt anyway as always useful to keep in car, just in case.

Current issue is id'ing the components. A or B must be the tensioner? If so, how do I slacken? Went all the way down to T25 but doesn't seem to be an actual hole there at all

R-P has put a useful picture in this thread.

The TX hole will be just under the pulley labelled A in your pic.
The original tensioner on ours had a hex hole instead of a TX. A mirror would help

Excellent. Thanks very much Brendan.

I don't suppose you happen to know which of these belts? I am assuming the top one purely based on the profile. They are different lengths.
