Looks hazed to me; similar to exterior paint haze.
Glad you got them off - I too use AG Fast Glass on my black trim, very good.

I have managed to remove light scratches from piano black trim with Autoglym Super resin polish applied very very sparingly and carefully on a microfibre cloth but being hyper careful NOT to get any on the Sensus screen.
