940GL : JUST BOUGHT ONE . WHAT SHALL I LOOK OUT FOR ?

Hello guys.
I have bought this 940 GL estate H reg , w/o turbo and air conditioning. A basic model, clearly very much on the borderline with the the old 740s. Just what I wanted because the more basic the less they are susceptible to breaking down, it is my philosophy.
The registration document states it has engine number 0000000002443 and gives a chassis number too.
In terms of useful information to buy parts that may need changing (and certainly will as it has 131k on the clock and and came w/o history)what else shall I gather?
Carburetor number?
Chassis number ?

I foresee having to change the gearbox (1st & 2nd gear difficult to select after driving the car for a while). Any number required there?

The guy who sold it mentioned there is a new kind of injection fitted on these 940s, unlike that of the 740s,
Can anyone tell me what this is meant to be?
At the moment the car seems keen to stall in first gear when releasing the clutch , but only after having driven it for a while in traffic. It restarts immediately.
