740gl auto fluid leak
My Volvo has been using a lot of auto fluid recently. Had a look underneath over the weekend, there is a lot of play in the bearing at the end of the auto unit, where the the prop shaft joins, with fuid dripping out, obviously needs new seal and bearing.
I havn't done this job before and don't know what to expect when it comes apart, Haynes manual no use whatsoever. Anybody had experience of this job or know where I can get detailed drawings/diagrams. |

RE: 740gl auto fluid leak
Did Better than that.... £100 quid sees a brand new nose cone & seal Fitted to the car along with an autobox service!!
Not bad Eh?? Mine did the same on the 760, to just replace the seal was false economy as the nose cone was scored thus tearing at the seal. Hence new cone:D Regards Dave M |
