Default park assist service request

Hi All, my first post here - hope I'm in the right place.
Just bought an '08 C30 2.0D 16v SE Lux, and the park assist service request message is up when I turn on the car. Problem is, it doesn't have park assist (at least there's no on/off button anywhere on the centre/waterfall console). What's the best way of deleting this?

Not sure if your question still stands, but does your car have physical sensors in the bumper? If not - possible, someone just replaced the bumper after a crash or something to the non-sensor version and hence the warning. The way it behaves on mine, when ocassionally reports a fault (I have sensors) I am able to press EXIT on waterfall to acknowledge the fault.

Hmm... no sensors in the rear bumper, and no on/off switch on the waterfall. I have to press Read on the left stalk to get rid of the message, but it's there every time I start the car. I've now managed to install VIDA onto an old laptop(some job, that!) and it s working so I'm wondering if there's a way to shut it down in there???
