Hi Jonnie, I took some pics this eve and to be honest, it's a bloody nightmare.
The brightness of the lights makes the camera focus poorly.
Anyway, here you are

Side lights are double layer LED's using SMD's
Dipped Beam is an H7 HID kit with 6000K Xenons.
LED strip is again SMD chips.

Thanks Jason

The LED strip, as its quite long, do you think it can be cut to the length of the fog insert.
Does it wrap over the plastic insert on yours?

I am wondering whether I can cut a slit out (see red area in pic) in the fog insert and feed the surplus through?

I have put a sneaky bid on a pair on Ebay
Thanks
J

Thanks!

I reckon I need to cut it at about 175mm i.e taking away two of the groups of leds and then seal the end but I will need to esablish how the circuit runs within the strip or whether it is better to cut it then try and fix the connector to where I have cut the wire - may be easiest.

How have you positioned yours over the fog inserts?

Found this link on Ebay. This guy knows they can be cut every 3 leds so I'm going to give it a go when they come and then either seal the end or cut from the end where the wires join and recoinnect the wires to the cut end if that makes sense.

You can get plastic glue I think that seals things, this might work and provide a waterproof seal. Shame the strip isnt another led longer otherwise I could make two into 4 strips!

Received a led strip today but only one - didnt realise they were sold seperately.

What I can do is either cut the strip and seal the end with glue or stick the entire strip just above the fog light at the top of the fog insert.

I think the strip will peel off in time though as it wont entirely be stuck down as byu the fog light itself the top part of the insert narrows. Im therefore leaning more towards cutting the strip and heat sealing or gluing and putting it where the existing leds are.

Iv'e decided to cut it leaving four clusters of LEDS (I'm going to re-trim the end to follow the arc of the foglight on a slight angle) - see attached and I'm thinking of trimming out the projecting fins in this new set of fog inserts and slide the strip in the gap sticking it to the contour of the insert. Making a small slit for the wires to go through at the edge. It's a shame the orange little bits are visible and the strip is not completely black although from a distant you prob wont notice.

I have also covered up one of the led clusters to show the 3 light effect.

I will therefore have these on these fog inserts and the old prism ones on the other inserts as I dont know how long these will last and whether I will like them or not. I simply cut the strip with a sharp pair of scissors. Just need to apply a little clear glue to the end.

Hey Jonnie, what the heck are those orange bits? Must be unique to the brand you purchased as mine are all black except the SMD's.

Keep the pics coming, I'm impressed :-)

I wonder whether you could live without fog lights all together?
Buy a pair for blanking grilles and install three sets on either side!!

How far can you go to achieve a unique brightness?
Have you considered CCFL's ?
I was looking in to CCFL's today and wondered whether opening up the headlamps and installing them around the dipped beam on either side?
Also an option to install on the fogs but with these, size does matter!

Where did yo get yours - have you got a reference - Ideally I want all black ones.

The ideal situation would be to install led strips at the front of the headlamp (Like audis) but I darent try and heat up the headlamps and take them apart for fear of them leaking. I will stick to the led stip in the fog insert.
Perhaps I can black blob with paint the ornage bits but this may look 's@ite'
