I had a P2 D5 SE Before i got the new D5. I really liked mine but as you say very different to the 940. The P3 D5 is really quite rapid as well and the twin turbo means it has no lag at all

Having said that since I got the 940 in November I've only driven the other car twice !

No one has waved at me yet though At least not in a friendly way

It's just the last year or two I've noticed 940/740 drivers starting to spot each other and wave. They've always been quite noticeable! (In a world of curvy cars, my friend's son has always been fascinated by the large square Volvo!)

But I mainly miss being able to see all four corners and the turning circle - much easier to stick into small gaps than any modern hatchback. I can see why they had to invent parking sensors ("towbar" in 940 terms!).

I can't get over how tight the turning circle is in the 940! I feel very smug when I get in to the tight filling spot at the petrol station first try that most people don't bother with or have a to do a three point turn in to.

Does take some getting used to. I still start to do 47 point turns and then remember i'm not in my D5
