Default Boot trim

I'm missing a small piece of trim from the boot interior trim, its the bit that covers the wiper arm and it clips into the main interior panel that covers the tailgate, I'm not sure how to reference the part in any other terms

Just found this on ebay, its the part that is missing from the top of the panel/trim, the bit that should clip into here is the part I need

Above part is for the high level brake light on a V70. The part differs fairly extensively for the 850 but shares the same name. You can buy them new from dealers or SKANDIX for around £50. They are available second hand too (I've bought 2 in the last year) but they are rare s they almost always have broken clips.

Hej,

very sorry, but I have to say, that you are wrong. The part on the pictures is exactly what is searched for. It is the cover for the wiperarm and the part that is missing on the ebay picture. And about the third brake light of the V70 I, I can say, that covers are 1 to 1 the same! I changed the tailgate of my 850, last summer, by the one of my V70 I donator and I can say that everyting of the covers matches 1 to 1, exept the window, that got a seperate slot for the brakelight printed on the surface, that you do not want to see on the 850, so I exchanged the window.

Hej Gernot

No need to apologise. The very early (>93) 850s did not have a high level brake light and so the part you have pictured fits as it only needs to cover the wiper motor. Some countries also did not get the third brake light until later, if at all due to different laws etc. Later 850s transitioned to the style that has a brake light directly above the wiper motor.

I learned this myself when I bought the first one, identical to your picture (actuality looks like those images came from the advert I bought mine from) as it was listed as fitting the 850s and had a matching part number.

Here is a link to each of the two, you can clearly see the difference in height and profile that allows it to clear the third brake light and wiper motor. The site also specifies applications which confirms what I said above.

Example 1 and Example 2.

Lard Father, please bear in my the part numbers for these are cour specific. If it's dark grey you need, and not black, then the part number is 9406871.

Hej Cookeh,

I am afraid, I have to apologise. You are right and I could learn something new again! To be honest, you left me a little confused yesterday. So far I only new the V70 I high level brakelight version and the version with the brakelight in the spoiler. May be I put not so mutch attention on that detail, but never realized a third brakelight above the whiperarm with a 850. Thought, maybe this is a special feature for the UK models and just checkt with my Vadis. But no! You are right and I was wrong. Thanks a lot for giving me the opportunity to learn!

Hej Gernot
