Exclamation 400 Series Engine Spec Codes Explained

HI I finally managed to find the engine specs for the 400 range: Here they are:

460 EARLY MODELS

B18KP (twin choke carbs) 90 bhp 1721 cc
B18KPD (twin choke carbs) 90 bhp 1721 cc

B18EP (injection) 106 bhp 1721 cc
B18FP (injection) 102 bhp 1721 cc

B18FT (turbo intercooled) 120 bhp 1721 cc
B18FTM (turbo intercooled) 120 bhp 1721 cc

Key:
B18 is the 1721 cc engine
K refers to twin choke carburettors
E naturally aspirated fuel injected engines
F 3 way catalytic converter with lambda sensor
D 3 way catalytic converter and no lambda sensor
P enhanced performance for the 1990 model year engines
T turbocharged with intercooler
M non-catalytic converter engine


480 EARLY MODELS

B18F 3 way catalytic converter with lambda sensor
B18ED 3 way catalytic converter and no lambda sensor
B18E no catalytic converter and no lambda sensor
B18FT 3 way catalytic converter with lambda sensor
B18FTM no catalytic converter


440/460 (FACELIFT MODELS) - 1994 onwards

B16F (single point fuel injection) 82bhp 1596cc
B18U (single point fuel injection) 89bhp 1794cc
B20F (multipoint fuel injection)

Key:
U 3 way catalytic converter with lambda sensor
F 3 way catalytic converter with lambda sensor

480 (1994) MODELS

B18FP (intermitent fuel injection) 101bhp 1721cc
B20F (intermitent fuel injection) 110bhp 1998cc
B18FT (intermitent fuel injection) 120bhp 1721cc Turbo
