I wasn't referring to 10% bio diesel blended with the other 90% Crude oil you get at the filling station. It's been run on 100 % Chip Shop special or 100% Bio diesel from Vegoil.
That's what's wrong with this pump.
It perishes the rubber seals and makes the pump work harder due to being more viscous .
Kerosene and engine oil is another matter (ahem).

I was thinking of running bio my self but after a lot of people had probs I thought best not to, that and its hard to find around here.

most of my cars i have had have been run on a mix of Pump and filtered engine oil, they all worked untill the rust kicked in, or its an mondeo with a bad eninge knock then it run on any thing with Oil in its name.

but in PNuT words, "it will be fixed"

Well PNuT is the man, learned alot and volvo is back wmrunning sweet as after some fun with pumps, it does have stutter now when coming to a stop now but I can live with that but thw big thing that needs sorting is the dreaded water pump as PNuT spotted while working on me car.

Next challenge is to get that changed now.

BIG THANK to PNuT for all the help

Good on you both for keeping it on the road

And of course, big pat on the back to PNut for offering to fix it - and for following through with that offer. Very rare these days, top man

I said one of my pumps did that....

It won't actually stall just the way it behaves!

It can be fixed quite easily but I cant find the procedure!

I think you have to loosen the 4 top bolts and tap in a certain direction....
