Default Retro fitting info switch and display 2000 C70?

Has anyone managed this - Robert DIY says 1999 and younger cars need the dealer to enable this function as its tied to ECU. I have access to a 2004 C70 cabrio parts car and would like to transfer this function to a 2000 C70 coupe.

Thanks in advance.

I have 3 x 70 cars. 2 have the functionality (C70 T5 GT and S70R) and 1x C70 T5 does not.

I don't miss it when driving the one without it and only use it in the ones that do have it when bored sitting in traffic jams with nothing better to do.

I had this done - it did require a phone call to dealer to get the ‘PIN’ number for the car.
Supply your own switch and get them to open the feature. I paid an hours labour ( close on 10% of cars value!).
I have a bifuel that has a GAS changeover switch instead of a INFO so I had to make the missing harness to the cluster, and the car had no PIN number set - as in theory you couldn’t have both gas and info. So my dealer contacted Volvo cars to get the PIN number for the cluster.

Below is a screen shot of what the dealer can see - with all the codes for this vehicle ( notice the info pin not available ).

Maybe it’s just me , but I constantly use most of the functions and find it’s displays very useful. One day I’m sure I’ll find out if the miles till empty is accurate...
