Default V50 se d lacks pwer

Just purchased V50 diesel when cold pulls well but on long journeys starts to lack power and doesn't pull very well Any ideas please. Thanks

If it is the 2.0 D
Might be worth checking the small vaccuum hoses that link the turbo and 2 small air control valves. They can perish or become loose as the engine warms up.. The hoses are quite fiddly to get at and one connection point is down by the oil filter. Mirror and torch might help.
I had a service once and the car was returned with "no turbo" I found one of the hoses had been knocked off by the oil filter. Refitted and it worked however when checking the hoses I found some perished and loose.
I replaced some of them and no problems since.
Worth a check first, before delving deeper.

The TCV's (Turbo control valve) can play up. One controls the turbo and the other is an air flap on the air intake.
Others have had the variable vanes on the turbo stick.
If the hoses are all OK possibly worth checking the fault codes if someone local has Vida Dice.
