Default brake shudder on my 94 T5 wagon

I know this has been gone over before on here but I have just surfed back through a few pages and found nothing. So, has anyone successfully solved the brake shudder problem yet on these? When I hit the brakes for normal stopping I get a normal response but as the car slows down it starts to shudder, the slower I get the worse it gets, until the whole car is reverberating (a bit like going over a cattle grid but not quite as bad) if I ease back on the peddle it goes away but as soon as I re apply pressure it kicks back in! I thought it might have been the pads but they still have plenty left on them. Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks, Phil.

The rear discs are the most likely to warp on our cars.

yep, i second that about the rears.

bet bet is new discs and volvo pads and shims.

my rears have warped and give this feel which i believe is down to the aggressive ferodo ds2500 pads i have on the back.

next pads are gonna be police spec ones, if they still cause warp then i will be going to volvo oem pads.
