Map updates failing (again)

Anyone else having problems with the latest updates?

I get to 99% installed then failed. Used both OTA and USB and the same results.

Not the first time this has happened to me this year

My V90 updates perfectly over the air. At the end it does put up a warning message something like "leave ignition on to complete update"

Yes, mine is giving an error a few times with the current North West Europe map update (over the air).

It states an error report has been sent when it gives the error message.

Last time this happened it sorted itself out a few days later.

It will be your memory stick, try another one or sanitise the existing one with Acronis if you have it or Active Killdisk if you need a freebie prog, remember to initialise it in Disk Management afterwards.

I'm having OTA errors this time round too. (And as someone above said, same problems last tine but was sorted a few days later).

This time..... seems a quick fix not forthcoming.....

Not convinced it is mate as it happens OTA as well and it`s a new stick.

That`s handy info though and will look into the programmes you mention. Cheers.

My OTA update is not installing either, it restarts after turning engine off and back on later. instead of carrying on the install from where it left off.

Weird eh?

I`ve had 3 years of no trouble whatsoever updating maps then this last few months.........

I did what SnineT advised (used ActiveKillDisc) and downloaded the update again. Now maybe I`m doing wrong here but I unzip the 2 zipfiles then delete them, leaving 2 folders and one other file (the extension name escapes me). The car recognised the files that way before so presume that`s correct.

I`ll give it another go shortly but doubt I`ll be out long enough for it to complete today, so will see how it resumes tomorrow. I`ve an 1.5 hour journey tomorrow so that`ll be plenty time.
