Default s40 fault codes

Hi: I have a 2000 s40 with a new front oxygen sensor, I still get p0133 and p0107 codes light is on but the car runs great. I can't get it inspected due to this. Any ideas?
Thanks

Done a little investigation for my own benefit. Google can be your friend too

FWIW this other site's posting gives a breakdown of the Ford error codes. Ok, this is a Volvo forum but Volvo=Ford in this area.

P0133 = O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0107 = Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input (aka MAP sensor)

The sensor replace should fix P0133 but as you're also getting P0107 maybe some other stuff needs sorting?
Looking at this thread on Volvospeed it appears the MAP sensor (Baro sensor ?) may need replacement.

If you search for P0107 on this forum there are a few threads that might be useful.

Reading through some stuff for Volvo's in general it appears one solution if the codes keep coming back following repair is to reset the error codes and then give the system a cold reboot - disconnect the battery for about 30 mins (radio codes may have to be known here) and then reconnect.

Obviously I throw in no guarantees but this method would appear to do no harm. Apart from any cost in reseting the codes it has the advantage of being cheap too.

Hope this helps

Default volvo s40 fault codes 2000

Thanks for th info. What and where is the map sensor? All I come up with is mass air flow or alltitude sensor when I try to narrow it down.
Thanks.

ah ha the map sensor is in two parts, one is mounted on the rad intake, right at the front of the engine(two weak ass plastic crews and a wee sensor and another identical one is on the intake manifold but to get to that you need to take apart the plastics and is inbetween i think 3 and 4 intake, whip it out and give it a wee clean up and swap it with the one from the front of the engine, and the prob will dissapear it did with mine with the same code, i will get you some piccys,

the baro sensors only come in to play unless you are in the mountains it comapres the pressure between ambient and manifold to assume fuel mix, i will sprt som pics out when i get a chance to take some

Default s40 map/baro sensor

Thanks: The one part of the map sensor was between the manifold at 3 and four, the other sensor that looked the same was at the cowl area where the o2 sensor harness connectors are. What is the sensor that screws into the intake inlet at the radiator?
