Well I collected the car today from a really great guy who had several cars and is clearly a car enthusiast. He presented with a thick history file which included MOT certificates back to day one and all bills for the last 14 years of his ownership with some of the big ticket items having been replaced recently.

It is very smooth to drive and far quieter on a motorway cruise than my V60 R-Design on the same size wheels/tyres.

My plan is to get the haldex and Transmission fluids changed as I can find no evidence of them being done then I shall just use it

Overall very happy with my purchase

That is absolutely superb. Congrats.

There is a guy not far from one of my kids who has 3 V70 Rs - all parked in the street, cracking looking machines although yours is much more to my taste. He also runs a E-class estate with the 6.3 engine. Must have a thing for properly fast estates.

Lovely R. I have always had a soft spot for the V70's after having my V70 T5. It was a run down pile of Cr4p but still went like the clackers. I prefered it over the V50 T5 which is very poorly put together compared to the older Volvos.

I always love a fast estate, but now having both the V70 and V50 and the engine woes of tuning with the cylinders, im holding out for a V8 estate (Merc or Jag).
