nivos and springs from a s60
Hi guys need some advice got offered set of nivos and springs out of a 05 s60 in local scrapy for cheap £100 full set up dose these fit my 03 v70 d5 thanks for your help damian

The thing is, these suspension parts will wear after say, about 100k miles. So it's good to know how many miles are on those parts. I would ask if there parts were replaced more or less recently.

they are clean and have no surface rust on springs or nivos
they are clean and have no surface rust on springs or nivos this car is crash damaged at front end and in my thoughts should not have made it to the scrapy and has in around 50-60000 miles on it

got them in
well got me nivos in what a diffrence it has made towing my trailer last night dident hit one ramp (thats the ditachable tow bar dident) so im well impressed glad i went for it in the end only big diffrence could see was the bottom arms in the s60 are diffrent but i diddent need them anyways so all good

Wish I'd seen this earlier - I could've helped.
As for the age of the components, I sold my old nivs and springs (plod spec - higher lift) with 185K on them and they were still working perfectly (bit rusty but fine). Nivs are very tough and you did well getting it all for that price - they used to go for £500 a pair - just for the shocks!

The S60 springs may well sit lower than the v70, depending what was spec'd from new. Also different engines have different spring rates at the front.
Physically though, as you now know with the novos everything will bolt up |

You won't need to touch anything on the front, just change the rear springs when fitting nivs.

it was a t5
it was a 2.4 t5 had the uprated brakes in front of it so i wud say there the right rateing ok its lifted the car about 2-3 cm higher than it was before i am conviced the wrong springs were in her before so am more than happy with the hight it is at at the min the car only had i think 60-80k on that they came out of so well pleased
