Default Bluetooth car kit advice

My car is equipped with an Intergrated Volvo phone with SIM card slot but no Bluetooth option.

Given both me and SWMBO use the car a duplicate SIM is not an option

Can anyone recommend a Bluetooth kit that I can use for receiving and making calls

Cheers

I am going to guess your car is pre 2007 and your in the wrong section.
When I had my old S80 with the built in sim and I had the same problem.Vodafone had just stopped doing the duel SIM cards. I couldn't find a wiring kit to fit so I put in a pay as you go sim and forwarded calls from my mobile whilst driving. Bit of a pain but it's the only way I could do it back then.

TTR is deffo in the right place, his car is like mine Mine has the genuine Volvo bluetooth unit stuck on the dash, I suppose you could have a Parrot or the like fitted but I can't imagine it'll be cheap but it would work

Sean94,

Looks like I am stuck with getting a Parrot or similar, pity I cannot understand why an 08 car does not have Bluetooth as standard by hey ho.

Anyway its on the list but a while off, loads still to get sorted out.

Thanks again for all the replies

PS has your got factory fit mudflaps if so how they fitted, understand they go straight into existing holes used to secure plastic inner wings?

Just ordered some so will be fitting later this week.

Cheers

have a read of http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=185892 yours being a newer car shouldn't pose to many issues for the wiring unless its a fibre system

the io play 2 is fantastic as a hands free bluetooth streaming bit of kit with everything you can think of

TTR, my car doesn't have mudflaps It's on my upgrade list though! Don't want those fat all terrain tyres kicking up dirt and stones up onto my lovely new caravan when it arrives :O Might have to get a little coat for it to keep it looking fresh

Cool Phone kit

My 2011 V50 had a Parrot CK3100 fitted before I bought it, and it was brilliant, you can get them fitted for less than £150 advertised on the Bay, The new V70 D5 will have a Parrot MKi9200 so I can stream music into the car and these are about £200 on the bay, just waiting for funding Ideas! until then I have a cheap and nasty sun visor jobby but I can't be heard properly so it won't be there long!
