Default S60 heater not heating up

Hi guys new to the forum. I’ve got a 2005 S60 2.0t with 175,000 on the clock. The other day I went to put the heater on (I’ve got climate control) and it was blowing cold air. I’ve checked and the coolant level is fine and the pick up pipes from the engine are warm as per usual. If I crank the temperature switches to cold I can hear the flaps changing and cool air comes out from hot to cold and vice verse but when I go back to hot the temperature only increases ever so slightly.

Any idea what could be wrong? I had the heater matrix replaced a couple of years back and the symptoms I had for that are not present this time. As the weather is slowly getting colder I want to sort this one out before I have to drive around with a blanket 😔
