coolant level sensor
Hi
My 2009 v70 2.4 sometimes shows "low coolant level-stop car" message. I park on a slight gradiant and when i have driven for couple of seconds the message goes, I checked the level and it is between max & min. Thought it might be the sensor, I don't seem able to find one online (plenty for earlier models). I presume its the wire that goes into the bottom of the expansion tank. :-) Any thoughts? Do you get the message when you park on level ground?

I would say it's just how you park it then.
You mentioned your coolant is between min and max so what you could do is make sure your coolant is filled to the max line which is ok to do but you must only do this when the car is stone cold and level. Any minor gradient is less likely to trigger the warning.

Hi All,
I get a similar issue. With the coolant level just above MIN I get the warning message when I drive off my drive as it is quite a steep downward slope. Once back on level ground the warning clears. I know the coolant level is OK as I check it every week along with oil and tyres etc. The sensor or sensor logic seems to be a bit too sensitive but then I would rather have false positives than run out of coolant :-)
