XC70 Wheels Respray

Finally got the wheels finished this weekend complete with new hub centres and tyres.

Opted for Pirellei Sotto Zero Winters, will see how they run, if they are anything like my wifes they will be a good all round tyre for the miles I will be doing.

Wheels came up a treat, really badly corroded around the nut area and a few kirb scuffs as well. Sanded out with flap sander and flatted, used VW LA7W silver if anyone wants the colour reference I chose, great depth of colour finished with a 2k lacquer.

Tried to put a couple of the old photos in to show the difference, hope you can work out which is which otherwise I have wasted my time !

Wow!! Puts my wheels to shame! I only repaired what I had to in mine as when the new tyres are fitted soon I have a plan I'm still being super lazy and XC twin over in sunny North Wales is still filthy and has valences covered in stonechips and dead flies haha I actually don't know if prefer your wheels or mine? With all the work you've done on a car so similar to mine, do you think if I swapped them round you'd notice lol
