Steering issues ’98 S40 T4
Hi guys,
I have a certain about of play in my steering rack that I’m not too happy about. Can the rack be adjusted or am I looking at getting a new one? It passed the NCT (Irish version of MOT) with flying colours but the steering is very annoying. I changed the track rod ends so I’m sure it’s the steering rack itself that’s the problem. Any ideas on the best place for parts? Are they a pain to change? |

Did you remove the rubber bellows from the steering rack and check for play on the inner ball joints/sockets of the actual track rod/s...the part that is actually threaded onto the rack?
