Default 940 rust

My 95 940 has some rust appearing on the inside of the sills, just forward of the rear wheel and adjacent to the rear jacking points. At present it is just a matter of a layer of rust under the underseal, but I was a little surprised to fnd anything. My three previous 740's never showed any inclination to start rusting anywhere! When do I need to start worrying?
Thanks for any assistance/views offered.

Thumbs up

Thankyou James! there are many inperfections that I really wish could be solved, the paintwork, the dents and scratches. You only get to know about them all when you own the car, maybe im being too harsh. After a good wash and wax people always pass comments on its condition. Not too bad considering its useage, age and mileage.

Yours was immaculate, fantastic colour too. That metallic blue is my personal favourite.

Default rust

I thought 940s were galvanised so would be interested of finding correct welding method (mig or gas)for future repairs

regards, steve
