Hi,
What sort of alarm features does a 1999 V40 have, not sure on its exact model but its a 1.6 16v with air con. It does have remote central locking. Cheers Guys. |

Hi there, I think all V40s in the UK have alarms and immobilisers fitted - at least that's what I read on one online review of the model. Check for the blinking red LED on the left side of the dash when you lock the car.
You could always phone up a local dealer just to double-check. Judah. |

If it has the standard factory alarm, then it will be Thatcham Cat 1 approved with a key-based immobiliser, ultrasonic sensors and remote central locking with dead-locks. Inclination sensors and other programmable options are dealer "fit" options.

mmmm ok, not sure if its working then cos some1 a while back put a brick through the back window and it didnt make a sound!
And how does the immobiliser work throught the key? |
