Service Issues: - 5th Year Service

My S60 is up for it's 5th year service.

Volvo Dealer has quoted me £342 inc VAT, Parts & labour.
What's the catch?

Good deal or bad deal? What you think?
I was going to use an independant garage.

What's included in the 5th year service? Anyone?

Welcome back to the forums..
Stratstones have just introduced Volvo Essential Service for around £150 which is in theory exactly same as the 5 yr service same checks and oil and filter.

Hi Alan,
Yes indeed the oil and filters are included..i paid abit extra to get pollen filter fitted (free labour) the regular suspension and brake checks are in the price.whats the milage on your car now?

It's getting close to 70k now and needs the service quite badly.
I've been lazy in not getting it in.

Mines just hit 76k..think i will be getting the service twice a year as i prefer to change oil every 6 months saves me the headache of crawling under car.

According to Volvo's website "Essential care is for Volvo cars 6 years and over".

Another year to go for me

then the car gets an OAC discount
