I see no reason why not. I don't think iPads are carrier-locked.

3 SIMs work wonderfully in iPads. If you bought the iPad from anywhere other than a mobile network, it won't be carrier-locked.

In fact they work so well that I completely forgot that the 24-month one in my iPad had reached the end of its 2 years, and I couldn't figure out why it was giving me odd mobile-data-related errors. Grabbed the one out of the Volvo and put it in the iPad instead (and made a note in my diary for when it expires), and put a 200 mb-free-every-month SIM in the car.

For some reason I've never understood, Apple don't really do SMS on iPads. It'll show some messages but generally only the sort that networks send you when roaming (there's a name for the particular type of message they accept but I can't remember it and can't find my geeky notes on it right now) ... and you can't send either. iMessage is fine though if you use that.

That’s a good price.

I paid £40 for the same sim less than 3 weeks a go.

Don5 know why I bothered though because what 3xactl6 do you even use internet for?

I don’t have or want Spotify and it’s not like you can download YouTube and etc.

Ordered 2x 24GB sims cards. One for the car and one for my ipad. Thanks to all for your guidance.

you need to set up the SIM first using a mobile phone, then will work. I have done it!

It's been nearly 2 years since I last bought one and I can't remember looking at the packaging to see if there was a "must be activated by such-and-such a date" label on there.
I ordered another one of the 24GB SIMs yesterday on that Amazon deal. Nothing on the SIM card suggests any date by which you have to start using it. The little leaflet is dated September 2017 so it could potentially be that old. And the expiry date for the data, now that the SIM's been used, is 2 years hence.

Now using a giffgaff sim, £10 months plenty of data since I do map updates via pc/Usb stick, works a treat.

Hi, excuse my ignorance.
This is my first Volvo (XC60 2018), does the sim plug straight in to the car somewhere? And what does it do, is it to provide live updates on the satnav?
Sorry in advance for the newbie questions.

There's a sim card slot behind a panel in the passenger footwell. The manual should tell you exactly where that will be - look for "on board modem".
