Default Door Ding After 3 Days.. :-(

So annoyed today, my lovely new V60 is 3 days old and someone ar**hole has door dinged her!!

I really can't understand people who can't even have the common courtesy to take care when getting out of their cars! My money is on the 4x4 I noticed next to my car when I left the car park, probably a kid in the back

Ouch!

Similar here with Mrs B's "not quite but almost new but new to her" Nissan, she’d parked in an 'end' slot in an almost empty private carpark, only to get dinged, when someone 'had to' park next to her....

Fortunately the culprit, an elderly woman, owned up, claiming the wind had caught her door, so we will be reimbursed.

FWIW, car park spaces are graded in our family as no peasant, one peasant, or two peasant spaces, depending on how many sides of the car are exposed to other vehicles. So an end space is a one peasant space.

I'm convinced that many who visit large car parks suffer from Sheep Syndrome.

I can park furthest away from the shops and with acres of empty spaces available yet when I return some Jackass will have parked right next to me

Unsupervised kids in the rear of the car opening doors is a problem I fear too - if I had kids the child locks would be on until they are old enough to own their own car and care :-D

Off topic...but is there a sub forum for the new V60 series yet? Or should we be heading into one of the other new ones created?

V60 posts should go in the SPA forum for the XC90 / V90 / S90 & XC60. just the description hasn't been updated yet.

We need wider car parking spaces like Costco!

It was two weeks before my V60 got a dent, 8 months before the rear bumper was dinked and 10 months before it was keyed... I’ve bought a dent magnet Sadly, nobody gives a toss about your property these days and regard it “wear and tear”. I’ve always wondered that if you was in their house and you scratched their door, marked they’re favourite TV set or sideboard would they then consider that wear and tear? Interesting thought eh?

It's incredibly annoying. It would be worth speaking to your local dealer as they'll have a ding specialist that visits, the price may be better than if you go to them yourself.

Car parking space sizes are still stuck in the 1970's and now we're all too close together.

I frequent my local Tesco superstore at 06:30am regularly (near my work) and all the cars huddle together near the entrance, I park away in the corner and it takes about 30 seconds to walk a bit further.
