My V50 2.0d engine cover was off and on for ages thanks to prolonged fault-finding fun with the throttle body. Now the engine cover locating holes are basically stripped out and are much too big for the locating pins on the engine block. So I leave it off because it's loose and vibrates. I think they look smart, keep road muck off the engine to a large extent, and actually makes the engine seem quieter (my imagination?). Anyway, can they be made to fit better again? Thanks for your post. |

Does anyone know why they are in different places?
On my 2004 V50 its bottom right (behind light cluster), but on my 2009 S40 its top left (as OP's).... Wonder if there's and interesting answer....
