I have 'Aquamist 1S' system sat on a shelf in my garage- picked it up whilst on holiday in the US.

Simple question, should I fit it?

Some relevant mods- 19T, Rica map 1.3 bar boost, ITG panel filter, 3'' downpipe, race cat, 2.5'' cat back, Magnecor KV85 leads.

No, no sell it to me :-) I'm sure that I can adapt it from left-hand drive :+ On a more serious note it would be good to see the kit - can you make the next meet on the 17th Andy? Don't worry Alastair I'm not serious!

Andy it might be worth reading the thread on water injection, as it's an eye opener.

seemingly with your set up you shouldn't have a need for water injection, from what has been said on aforementioned thread. but to my mind, the cooler the engine temps are the better, so if it won't definitely give more bhp, it should at least give your engine some protection by keeping the temperature down.

if this seems unreasonable to you then i think that you should sell your kit to me, as i'm prettier than the other two lol.

Well in light of the other thread going on I will hang on to it for now... ;)

I wonder if the system being thought about by Volvotuning uses the basic 1S system or one of the more expensive systems?

Maybe you could use the kit to water the plants in the greenhouse if you dont fit it to your car!

A fair few people have already thought through these water injection issues prior to another party's sudden and almost biblical conversion to the efficasy of it!

My old S70 T5, has a Dastec 'piggy-back' ecu which has two maps, one with and one without WI and an additional facility to fire it. This was originally fitted by Millway in Andover in collaboration with ERL about 5 years ago.

My later S60 T5 has got the more advanced ERL system where the injection is controlled by the petrol injector signals, but all linked into an ECU with software written by a Volvo factory software engineer in collaboration with Richard Lamb.

I should also like to say that I keep the Aquamist systems in stock and can give some advice on fitment and positioning to best effect based on some years use of this kit.
